Wearingeul Releases April Fools ink,Leonardo Revives The Pura Collection,Conklin Celebrates The Independence Day

Wearingeul released its first ink in 2018 and has well over 100 different inks now. Many times being inspired by world literature or people that made an impact in the world (music composers, writers, mythology) and now it releases two bold ink options.

The first ink is White Nights, being a watery blue ink with heavy silver shimmer, being inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s white nights short story. Doing its best to capture the atmosphere and transform it to an ink. It’s being delivered to the classic 30ml glass bottle and it’s priced at €24 / $28.

The second release is the best April fools ink… That’s how it’s advertised at least. It’s called hope and it’s inspired by Pandora’s Box (Greek mythology) Although the bottle has a total capacity of 30ml, it contains only 10ml of ink, the other 20ml are all kinds of trials and disasters that will be released in the world once you open the box… It’s a neat advertising campaign, and of course the price has drastically dropped now at  €9 / $10 bottle of ink. The actual ink has no special properties making it a solid blue-gray option.

The first Leonardo Pura collection was released in early 2021, Following its success the Pura collection returns in Red, Petrol Blue and Gray, with a frosted finish. Each color is available in 3 metallic finishes: Gold, Ruthenium and Palladium. The Pura collection has an integrated piston filling mechanism that can hold up to 1.5 ml of ink, and can be easily disassembled with the provided steel wrench making cleaning sessions extra easy…

What’s noteworthy about these pens is their nib options. They are available in #6, #8 steel nibs (JoWo) and #6 in house gold nib. The nib sizes are also endless... the steel nibs are available in EF-F-M-B-stub1.1-Elastic EF-Elastic F-CSI M-CSI B-Architect while the gold nib option is available in EEF-EF-F-M-B-stub 1.1-Elastic EF-Elastic F. The price varies depending on the nib options, with the range being €304-€659 / $353-660.

This year is the 250^th anniversary of the founding of the USA! Conklin decided to celebrate a couple months early , releasing the Conklin All American fountain pen 250^th Anniversary edition. Being from liquid resin, every pen is unique with the 3 USA flag colors making unique patterns on the pen.

It also features a new spring-loaded clip by Conklin making it more practical and compact for its users. The nib options are EF-F-M-B-stub 1.1-Omniflex produced by JoWo. The pen is limited to 250 pieces worldwide priced at €158 / $180.

As we have already mentioned Wearingeul has released over 100 inks, now they give you the option to swatch all of those inks with their new Ink Encyclopedia. It features 70 single-sided pages with a weight of 200gsm, making it perfect for inks with properties such as shimmer and shading.

The dimensions are small making it rather compact , it measures 10x10cm /4 x 4 inches. The Ink Encyclopedia is priced at €7 / $8.
