🖋️ What’s new

1/

BENU Tribute Anna Pavlova

  • Benu makes a rather beautiful addition to their tribute collection. This particular design honors Anna Pavlova - one of the most iconic ballerinas in history, being best remembered for her legendary performance of The Dying Swan. Personally I might not be the biggest fan of ballet.. But I am for sure in love with this pen.

  • As always Benu uses their unique prismatic resin, revealing soft pearlescent tones that gently shift with the light and with subtle gold glitter. I think they really achieved their goal of trying to “replicate” the layers of a ballerina’s costume on a resin pen

  • A nice extra touch is that the pen comes with both silver and gold hardware, making it the perfect fit for you. The nib options are also endless with all the standard nibs being Schmidt SS and the specialty nibs (Elastic, Stub) being JoWo #6 SS. Benu also offer 14k gold nibs with a huge price bump…

  • With benu a high MSRP is expected with all the SS nib options being priced at €225 / $260 and the gold nib options at €440 / $510, almost double the price.

Platinum #3776 Century Travia Onyx

  • Platinum released their first #3776 model in 1978 and today it has decided to add a unique nib option on it with a newly released pen. The #3776 Century Travia Onyx. For anyone wondering the name ‘’Travia” means ‘’Path’’ in Latin. The pen barrel and cap are crafted from resin with a clean flat-top silhouette in contrast to the classic #3776 designs.

  • Now let’s focus on the star of the show, the nib. The pen is equipped with the newly developed FLAF nib, short for ‘’Float Like A Feather’’. This 14k gold nib responds to writing pressure in a direct, linear way. Meaning that the flex is precisely proportional to the force applied giving precise line variation. Platinum does advertise it as a middle ground to the SF and F nib options they usually offer.

  • Also something notable is that there is a metal balancer integrated at the centre of the barrel, combined with a metal grip section moving the centre of gravity closer to your fingertips. Meaning you have a more stable-balanced writing session. Personally I find the FLAF nib interesting to say the least and can’t wait to try it out once stores near me have it in stock. It is available in only two nib options: FLAF Fine-Medium

  • The first batch is limited to 2,000 sets and is presented in an exclusive box together with a revised booklet ‘’Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship’’, a chronicle of Platinum Pen written by founder Shunichi Nakata. The set is priced at €600 / $695 MSRP

Edelstein Pyrite - Ink Of The Year 2026

  • Every year, Pelikan turns to the world of precious gemstones to define its Edelstein Ink of the Year, and for 2026, the spotlight falls on Pyrite. Known for its shimmering metallic glow, the ink features gold-gray shimmer with a rich gold base color. For now it’s only available for pre-order in most online fountain pen shops since it will be officially launched and shipped in early April.

  • The MSRP is €35 / $40. It will be packaged in the classic Edelstein 50 ml glass bottle

Sailor 1911L Casual

  • Sailor releases a more budget-friendly 1911L, the 1911L casual. It comes with the classic cigar shaped body, available in 4 different colors (muted red, muted green, muted blue, muted black). The main difference is the nib, it comes equipped with a SS nib compared to their classic 21k nib which most people love.

  • From what I have heard, the nib is still toothy, having a pencil-like feel like their gold nibs. and the nib sizes are EF-F-MF-M-B. With the MSRP being €250 / $290
